My friend lost her dog. I was thinking of trying map dowsing to help her out. I have a few questions on the best way to do this.

1. How do I formulate the question the right way?
2. Also how do I select the map? Reason I ask is cause being that her dog has been lost for a week now, what if he is no longer in the direct area? Do I start with a local city map or do I expand it out to include a few neighboring cities? Do I start smaller like try within a few miles of her subdivision or do I start way larger?

There are so many ways you could do the triangulation. The Learn Dowsing DVD shows other methods.

I've had some success with dividing a map in half. For example, before I have a chance to think about the problem I'll use a longitude or latitude type of line and ask "East of here?" or "North of here?" to get a quick Yes/No. (But, I have to do this at the moment I hear or see the problem -- otherwise AOL and my imagination...)
