 Gathering recruits for success........
I'd like to determine how many people would be willing to take part in group projects. I'm setting up our first poll (scroll up) and ask that you respond when you read this. If enough particpants are available, we can work on what projects we might like to do. I will leave the poll open for one week. If people don't access this site at least once a week, a project might not be workable. Beginners are just as qualified to participate as those who have progressed longer, so their efforts are very welcomed. Let me know!!
Thanks!

 Poll
Thanks for giving the poll a shot, Cutie Bear. I only set the poll up for one week to assess interest. I felt that many people don't access the site often, so I wanted to know how many might, and be willing to take part. As I got no hits on the poll for an entire week, I assumed it wasn't a goal worth pursuing. The poll closed after one week. That's why you couldn't take part.
My best to you and our fellow dowsers!,
Lee

Interesting. I've been on the forum several times since the poll was posted (been working on my dissertation and other school work the rest of the time), but this is the first time I noticed it, and then only because there was a farily current posting date attached. I think the poll is a good idea, but maybe there's a way to post it that would make it more obvious?
Best,
Paul

There is a difficulty in this forum in that people can't see the beginning topic once someone else has posted. Only the latest is shown. This leads people to miss alot of posts unless they search backward. Not a good process. I think the word I'm trying to find is "thread," where a subject is presented and replies are strung after it. I think this may be the downfall of this forum. It's very difficult to follow. People don't have the patience or some, the knowledge, to manipulate the site that much. I've missed some posts because some jerk put in pornography and such.
Another difficulty is that only the person posting is notified if there's a response, so that no one else is aware. The whole membership should get a notice of each new post.
Nice try though, Paul. You can't be all things to all people! I know that, big time!!!!

You can get a notification that there's a response to your post? Well -- something else I didn't know! I'll query the folks that run this thing and see if there's a solution.
Thanks!
Paul
